I am a Ph.D. candidate in Sociology at Yale University and a Fellow in International Security at the Belfer Center at Harvard Kennedy School, expecting to receive my degree in May 2021. My research and teaching interests are in politics, ideologies, social theory, and comparative-historical social science with a strong and interdisciplinary focus on the historical roots and outcomes of revolutionary processes and political conflict.

Before coming to Yale, I pursued a master's degree in Political Science at Sabanci University, and received my bachelor's in Computer Engineering at Bogazici University.

I was lucky to be born in the greatest city in the world, Istanbul, where I spent most of my life. I have also lived for various periods in Dalarna, Sweden; London, UK; Berlin, Germany; and Boston and Providence, US.
